Orlando Vacation Packages

The fountain at Lake Eola is the symbol of Orlando, nicknamed "The City Beautiful “. It is a large city located in Orange County, Florida and most often conjures up the image of theme parks, mainly Walt Disney World, located in nearby Lake Buena Vista. But it has a lot more to offer than that, including some great choices of budget hotels from Travel Clearance.
Orlando is synonymous with family fun and tops the must-do list on any trip to Florida. You can divide the main attractions into amusement parks, movie parks, animal parks and water parks. The city's famous attractions form the backbone of Orlando's tourism industry.

The city is best known for the Walt Disney World Resort and for the Universal Orlando Resort which consists of two parks, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, as well as other attractions, including City Walk. Orlando is also home to the SeaWorld theme park, Gatorland, as well as Wet 'n Wild Water Park. With the exception of Walt Disney World, most major attractions are located along International Drive.

About 35 minutes southwest of downtown Orlando Walt Disney World comprises four theme parks, two water parks, dozens of hotels, two shopping and dining districts, five golf courses, and much more. It is the largest privately managed tourist destination on the planet, and includes Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Future World, Disney Animal Kingdom and Disney-MGM Studios. Discover a world beyond Disney at Universal Studios. The toddlers can spend A Day in the Park with Barney, while bigger kids can play action star on blockbuster interactive rides like Jaws, E.T., Terminator, and Shrek or visit the Universal Islands of Adventure with the Dueling Dragons roller coaster tracks and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man’s astounding 3-D effects.

There’s also the Historic Bok Sanctuary, with it’s colony of wood ducks and wild birds and the World of Orchids, featuring thousands of blooms in an enclosed tropical rain forest.

Museum choices are plentiful as well, with the options including the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art with the world's most comprehensive collection of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) including Tiffany art glass, leaded-glass windows, lamps, jewelry, pottery, paintings and the Orlando Museum of Art with exhibitions of American portraits and landscapes, American impressionist works, and art of the ancient Americas. The International Trolley and Train Museum is another fascinating place featuring model railroad trains with sound and lighting traveling through an indoor garden with 12 ft (4 m) high mountains, waterfalls, and more than 30 trestles and tunnels. Also on display are toy trains from the 1920s to the present.
