Paris Vacation Packages

Paris France is called the City of Lights, for good reason with The Eiffel Tower, one of the world’s most famous monuments, probably the world's most famous museum, The Louvre, and a wonderful array of food, drink, nightlife, sights and attractions. There's also plenty of choices for cheap Paris hotels for a bargain holiday through Travel Clearance.
Also known as the Capital of Fashion, it is home to the world's finest and most luxurious fashion designers and cosmetics such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, Guerlain, Lancôme, L'Oréal, Clarins, and the like. A large part of the city, including the River Seine, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tour Eiffel

There are many options for tours all over town and for things to see and do in Paris, and a walking, biking, or bus tour is a great way to see the city. This will include plenty of monuments, famous museums, and fabulous dining. The city has the second highest number of Michelin-restaurants in the world and contains numerous iconic landmarks.

No other monument better symbolizes Paris thanThe Eiffel Tower which reaches a height of over 1,000 feet. It also has restaurants, a souvenir shop, a post office, snack bar, and a viewing area, all within its impressive iron structure. The Panthéon is a monument dedicated to historical figures of France, with a crypt containing the remains of such heroes of the Republic as Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Marie Curie, and Alexandre Dumas. Then there is Notre Dame cathedral, with its awe inspiring exterior and ornate interior, where you can ascend the bell tower for a look at the gargoyles from Victor Hugo’s ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ fame. And centered in the world’s largest traffic roundabout, is the Arc de Triomphe, which is a great stop on Paris vacations. Situated on the famed avenue Champs Élysées, the Arc is a simple, yet daunting monument commissioned by Napoleon. The exquisite and gothic Saint Chapelle, built in the 13th century, has 15 impressive stained glass windows depicting an entire biblical history. For the best view of the city, Sacre Cour is a church perched on top of the highest point in Paris. Behind the church is the artists' area, in front are spectacular views of the whole city.

One of the highlights of any Paris vacation is a tour of it’s extensive list of museums, starting with the Louvre, home to the Mona Lisa, plus thousands of other spectacular art pieces. Then you have the Pompidou National Centre of Art & Culture, the museum of modern art. The building and adjoining Stravinsky Fountain are attractions in themselves. The Musée d'Orsay, in a former railway station, displays French art nouveau, impressionist, and postimpressionist works. The Musée de Cluny, contains works from the middle ages, and a former Roman bath house, dating back to around 200 AD. Other attractions worth a visit are the Pere Lachaise Cemetery, unlike any cemetery in the world. Ornate grave stones, monuments set among tree lined lanes. See the grave of Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Frederic Chopin amongst many others. Or you can visit The Catacombs, an underground corridor made up of the stacked bones of millions of Parisians exhumed from their graves to solve a hygiene problem in Paris France in the late 18th century.

Paris has the reputation of being the most beautiful and romantic of all cities, brimming with historic associations and remaining vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design, and is the most popular tourist destination in the world with 45 million tourists annually. This is one city on your European travel plan not to be missed.
